IBM

The following images show IBM contractors at KSC at a “Thank You” ceremony after the ASTP launch.  Although there is a small amount of overlap between the two pictures (the right side of the top picture overlaps with the left side of the bottom picture), each person has been numbered once and only once.  Following the picture is a list of the numbers with the corresponding individual’s name.  You will note many of the individuals have not been identified.

If you know the name of any of the people in the picture, please contact us, either by email (see the floating tab on the left side of the page) or by the online comments (see the bottom of the page).   When identifying an individual, specify the number before specifying the name.  If you are using email, please also state the page title, “IBM”.

  1. Hello,
What a wonderful tribute to the nameless heroes who worked to put a man on the Moon. My father, Joe Quigley, is barely visible in this photo, but he is most assuredly number 79. It will be nice to see his name listed with his co-workers. He pasted away in December 2015. I miss him. Thanks for creating and maintaining this page.

  2. Hi and thanks! I just received this from my youngest sister Mollie. Number 36 is our dad, Richard David Gragg, Jr., who concluded twenty years of military service in 1965. He and our mother, Rita Schulterbrandt Gragg, raised us (Meccia, Vance, Nigel, Isdra, me, Viet and Mollie) in Cocoa Beach, Florida, from 1965-1975, while he worked for IBM at the Kennedy Space Center. He retired again in 1986, this time from IBM Owego, NY.

  3. number 20 is my Dad Jerry Freetly. I wanted to take him back to the cape some time soon. Does anybody know who I could talk to. I wanted to get him a tour. He is 84 so I think it would be great for him to go back and visit.
